New Magnum Crate Engine
Product Update & Tech Bulletin

NOTE:  For New Mopar Crate Engines with passenger side offset thermostat housing.

We have recently discovered that on some of the Newer Crate Engines released this year, with passenger side offset thermostat housing, there is a small clearance problem. This is Due to a small difference in the new style intakes casting. And Here is a Simple Cure.

Start By Grinding Down the Thermostat Housing (area nearest compressor)

Reinstall, and use a 5/16-18 3/4 Flat Head bolt on the side of the housing
you grinded down previously, and the original bolt on the opposite side.

Next, Grind down the bolt on the back of the compressor that is closest to thermostat housing when it is  mounted on the motor with the bracket.

Now Simply Reinstall adding 4 USS washers(1per mounting ear) to space the Compressor forward so that you have the correct alignment with your Crank pulley. Now The Clearance Problem is Cured, So Now Go Out and Enjoy Your A/C!
