Determining Shipping Cost
When you place your order, no shipping charges are pre-billed. Once your order has been processed and packed, and your shipment has been measured, weighed, and is ready to ship, then shipping, handling and insurance costs will be calculated, and added to your order via the e-commerce software powering this website.
Please note, we only ship via USPS or FedEx (unless shipments are large enough to require truck freight). If your item has to be be drop-shipped from the manufacturer, the manufacturer will determine which shipping provider is used.
Shipping Signature Requirement
All packages shipped require signature confirmation, unless you request otherwise by email after placing your order.
Shipments Within The United States
We offer FedEx Ground/Home and USPS Priority Mail shipping on most items to residential and business addresses within the continental United States. Expedited FedEx shipping is available for an extra charge.
After the order is completely processed, most shipments from our warehouse take one to six business days to arrive at locations within the continental United States. The following map depicts estimated FedEx Ground/Home shipping times from our South Carolina warehouse:
International Shipments
Our shipping rates are based on the item being shipped, destination, class, weight and size. International shipments are subject to further verification or rejection. This process may take up to 30 days depending on the final destination of the shipment. After you place your order, we will send an invoice via email giving you the lowest priced shipping options available.
When we ship to your physical address, quotes can be done DDP or non-DDP quoted. DDP means that all freight, pickup fees, duties, taxes, fuel, surcharges, custom clearances, insurance, handling, added value tax, and delivery fees are prepaid before the shipment leaves the United States.
When we ship to a seaport or airport, all quotes are quoted non-DDP. The standard quote covers freight, fuel, and insurance only. You are responsible for pickup fees, duties, taxes, surcharges, custom clearances, handling and added value tax before it leaves the receiving seaport or airport.
We also ship large items, such as crate engines, engine blocks, transmissions, large sheet metal and other freight shipments to pretty much any location in the world. After you place your order, we will attempt to respond back to you before the next business day on the shipping cost. We will send you an invoice via email giving you the lowest priced shipping options available.
Our shipping rates are based on the item being shipped, destination, class, weight and size. We use LTL carriers such as YRC, Southeastern, FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, and/or third-party drop-shipping methods, depending on the specifics of your order. We always use the lowest price between all all of the LTL carriers to save you money.
Note: Buyer is responsible for all freight, duty fees, import taxes, and all other applicable fees charged by the carrier.
If the product category or individual product record you were browsing links to this page, then common carrier LTL truck freight does apply to that item.
Shipping Insurance
Please note, our carriers have advised us that shipping insurance covers only the value of the shipment contents. It does not cover:
- the cost of shipping/handling
- the cost of any transaction fees (e.g., international bank wire transfer fees)
Additional Shipping Information
We insure all items that are being shipped. Extra insurance can be purchased for an additional fee. If you decide not to purchase the extra insurance, you may be responsible for part of any loss or damages.
If you receive a damaged item, DO NOT REFUSE OR SHIP IT BACK. Make sure that the delivery company notes problem on the receipt. Then call us so we can start a claim with the carrier on the damaged or missing item(s). If you refuse or send back the damaged or incomplete order, the carrier may not honor the claim, and you may be fully responsible for any loss or damages.
Some parts we sell, such as hazmat and cleaning chemicals, can't be shipped outside the continental United States.
Shipping quotes are only good for 10 days from the date you receive the quote from Bouchillon Performance Engineering.
