Fits: '67 & Later 383,400, 440 with Cast Iron Water Pump Housings. Will not work with Aluminum Water Pump Housings or early cast iron housings with casting numbers: 1944916, 2205862, & 2468007
Last 2 Pics are of a 1973 and later 440, passenger side lower radiator hose that has the low mount drivers side power steering pump installation.
Works with most all aftermarket cylinder heads (some with only minor modifications) & ALL KNOWN INTAKES
Pulleys Required: BPE4013, BPE4016 (Add "C" to each for Chrome)
Compressor Required: BPE6664 Sanden SD508
Alternator Brackets Required: 383/400 BPE5254 426W/440 BPE5253
NOTE:
A-For Cleaner installation, we recommend mounting the compressor with both ,suction & discharge ports, pointing towards right side inner fender. Then use a pair of 45 degree fittings (BLA1312-3 & BLA1313-3) at compressor, and route hoses across top of Alternator.
B-Some PICS are of our 4710 Bracket, which mounts very similiar as the 4700. It is there for the final installation appearance of hoses, belts and brackets. Also to exhibit the way we mount the compressor: Both Suction and Discharge Fittings pointing towards passenger fender, using our 45 degree Suction & Discharge fittings with charge ports ( #8 Fitting :BLA1312-3 & #10 Fitting: BLA1313-3)
C-Some (Not All) Aftermarket Aluminum Cylinder Heads will cause you P.S. Bracket and Rear Compressor Mounting Bracket Fitment grief, but installation can be achieved.
D-To run a Belt in the Outer Crankshaft Pulley Groove and Outer Water Pump Pulley Groove, use #2951019 Idler Assembly and mounting spacer #2951176 when using 5253 & 5254 alternator bracket, If using lower Alternator mounting bracket from 67-68 OE factory a/c alternator bracket or 5250CHAC, USE 2465381 Also requires 2-#3165 3/8"-16 x 5" Bolts & 1- 3918 5/16" USS Washers & 1-5137 3/8" SAE Washer Not Included
